Bei Ausgrabungen auf dem Areal des Schlosses Lenzburg treten neben mittelalterlichen und römischen Funden auch bronzezeitliche Keramikfragmente zutage. Siedlungen auf markanten Hügeln sind typisch für diese Zeit. Wie später Burgherren im Mittelalter nutzen die bronzezeitlichen Gemeinschaften den natürlichen Schutz einer erhöhten Wohnlage.
